A repeatable protocol for observing brand mentions and citations across a fixed commercially relevant prompt set.
- Define a fixed prompt set grouped by commercial intent.
- Record platform, prompt, date and market context.
- Record whether 1PR is mentioned and whether a 1PR URL is cited.
- Record other sources and competitors surfaced.
- Repeat on a consistent schedule without treating the result as a universal ranking score.
- Compare observations with identifiable AI referral traffic, branded search and qualified inquiries.
Publication rule
Do not convert a protocol into a claimed result. A study page must identify the actual method, data source, observation window, limitations and conclusion.
